About these Weather Maps

These are generated from Grid Point Value(GPV) data provided from Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA) calculated with "Global Spectral Model (GSM)" and "Meso Scale Model (MSM)". GPV data are obtained from "GFD-DENNOU Club" and the drawing program is GrADS.

These weather maps are automatically generated from GPV data which are the results of the computer simulation in JMA. So some contents may be inconsistent with the weather forecast of JMA or other weather forecasting services. And please use the data according to the fact that the results always include errors. We shall not be responsible for any loss, damages or troubles from using the data of this site.

It is forbidden to use on business. The reason is that it offends against the following requirements announced by GFD-DENNOU Club. These data are provided for institutes or schools. If you use these data frequently, please purchase from Japan Meteorological Business Support Center(JMBSC) directly. (From the GFD-DENNOU Club's website. The original is written in Japanese)

Contents of the Weather Maps

The data of "GSM, Asia" and 1"GSM, Japan" are provided for 4 times per one day. The initial times are 00Z, 06Z, 12Z and 18Z, i.e., 9, 15, 21 and 3 in JST.

The data of "MSM, Japan" are provided for 8 times per one day. The initial times are 00Z, 03Z, 06Z, 09Z, 12Z, 15Z, 18Z and 21Z i.e., 9, 12, 15, 18, 21, 0, 3 and 6 in JST.
